About the Author
Ronald Nichols, B.S. Criminalistics, has 34 years of experience in forensic science, 27 of them as a firearm and toolmark examiner. Retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 2017, Ron is a distinguished member of the Association of Firearm and Toolmark Examiners and Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. He works with local and federal law enforcement agencies to help develop crime gun intelligence centers and strategies.
